Search Farmville Busted Mugshots

Farmville arrest records run through three doors. A town arrest, county police work, and regional jail custody each sit with a different office. So a Farmville mugshot search works best when you know who made the arrest and where the person landed. A name helps. So does a date. The court file, later, holds the outcome. And because the town straddles a county line, even the location of the event can decide which office you call.

Farmville Busted Arrests and Custody

Farmville anchors Prince Edward County as its seat. But the town does not stay put. It spills over into Cumberland County too. The Census Bureau's July 2025 estimate put the whole town near 7,593 residents. So a Farmville address alone won't tell you which agency handled an event. Inside town limits, the Farmville Police Department handles municipal policing. Out in the county, the Sheriff's Office takes over. And after an arrest, anyone actually held in the area most likely lands at Piedmont Regional Jail. That regional system serves Prince Edward and five other member counties.

That split shapes every records request. The police keep their own incident and arrest material. The jail holds whatever booking and confinement created there. The Sheriff's Office, for its part, does not publish the jail's public roster. For the final outcome of any charge, only the court disposition answers the question.

Keep the custody label with the result. A PRJ match means current regional-jail custody. It does not show every Farmville arrest, every former PRJ detainee, or every address within the town’s cross-county boundary.

Where Farmville Busted Mugshots Appear

No official Farmville photo gallery exists. There is no confirmed public booking stream either. Work the official path first: check current Piedmont Regional Jail custody, contact the arresting agency, file a focused adult-record request, and pull the court file. Different sources answer different questions. Treat each web result as its own type of record, not one interchangeable pile.

ChannelCustody or record scopePhoto and access finding
PRJ Offender LookupPeople currently at Piedmont Regional Jail and under PRJ custody.Official current-custody lookup. PRJ does not state a public photo-display policy, result-field list, refresh rate, archive, or Prince Edward filter.
Farmville Police DepartmentMunicipal agency information and records route for an arrest in its jurisdiction.Official page offers updates, annual reports, policy material, and media links, not a searchable daily arrest log or live roster.
Sheriff Activity ReportRolling current-month calls for service.Official, but it lists call date, description, and street information. It is not a Farmville booking list and does not supply names, charges, bond, or photos.
Virginia OCISCase progression after an arrest.Useful online court search, but OCIS says it is not the official record. Confirm a result with the court clerk when needed.
VADOC locatorState custody or supervision after the local stage. Not a new Farmville booking list. Its daily updates can still be dated, and no public photo display is guaranteed.
Farmville HeraldLocal news reporting.Secondary reporting, not a custody search or an official record.
Mugshots.com county pageHistorical third-party county entries.Unofficial and stale-prone. Its visible filters end in 2013–2017, so it is not evidence of current custody or a current Farmville stream.

Save secondary historical sites for last. Their listings may lack a later court outcome. Some keep an old entry long after the person has left custody. Anything current needs a better source. Official agency, jail, and court records confirm what those sites cannot.

Find a Farmville Busted Booking Record

Start with the narrowest facts you have. A full name helps most. So does the agency involved and a tight date range. When a regional-jail hold seems possible, check PRJ's official lookup first. Don't assume a Farmville Police Department arrest produced any public city roster. What if the search comes back empty? There are plenty of ordinary explanations. The person may have been released, transferred, or held elsewhere. Spelling errors and booking delays happen too. A blank result simply doesn't settle whether an arrest occurred.

  1. Check the PRJ current-custody lookup if the person may be held at the regional jail.
  2. For a town arrest, identify Farmville Police Department as the likely arresting agency. For an event outside town on the Prince Edward side, identify the Sheriff’s Office instead.
  3. Ask the agency or PRJ Records for the adult arrest, status, or routine booking record it holds. Give the name, date range, agency, and requested item.
  4. Use OCIS to locate a case and then confirm material court information with the Prince Edward Circuit Court Clerk.
  5. If the person is no longer in local custody, use the VADOC locator for state custody or supervision. Federal status belongs with the BOP inmate locator, not the PRJ roster.

An online court result opens the door. The clerk closes it. Prince Edward General District Court handles misdemeanors and felony preliminary hearings. Continuing criminal matters go to the Circuit Court. So do records outside any participating online system. Call the Prince Edward Circuit Court Clerk at 434-392-5145, office hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at P.O. Box 304, North Main Street, Farmville, VA 23901-0304. Juvenile matters and sealed offenses stay out of the ordinary public online court view.

Custody alerts answer a different question. Virginia VINE handles local and regional-jail notifications. NAAVI serves eligible victims once a sentence moves someone into VADOC custody. Neither system works as a Farmville booking roster, a photo source, or a stand-in for PRJ or court confirmation. For the wider PRJ roster and request path, see the county-wide Prince Edward custody and records guide.

Farmville Police Records Route

Need a Farmville Police report? Maybe an adult booking photo the department holds? Start with the department itself. The Town's 2025 FOIA policy covers police records, allows a cost estimate, and follows Virginia's five-working-day response framework with permitted extensions. It offers no dedicated booking-photo form. No flat photo price. No same-day promise. If the person was held at PRJ instead, that jail's Records unit controls whatever regional-jail material it maintains.

Virginia Code § 2.2-3706 generally makes an adult routine booking photograph available on request. Identity, arrest, and charge-status information come with it. One exception applies: a felony investigation. The request procedure under § 2.2-3704 asks for a reasonably specific request and permits actual costs. Ask for an estimate up front, especially if your request is broad.

  1. Name the adult subject and give a focused arrest or booking date range.
  2. State the actual arresting agency and say whether the item sought is an incident report, arrest/status record, or adult routine booking photograph.
  3. Request an electronic copy if that format is useful, and ask for an actual-cost estimate before work begins.
  4. Send a PRJ-held request to PRJ Records at 434-392-1601, extension 732, or use its records fax, 434-392-5932. PRJ lists Gloria Giles, extension 320, and Royal Eanes, extension 247, as FOIA contacts.

Sheriff's records here fall under the County FOIA policy. The named contacts are Chief Deputy James Farley, Lt. Joseph Sprague, and Bernice Letterman. They can be reached at 434-392-8101. Routine small requests often cost nothing under County practice, though that is a rule of thumb rather than a promised fee. Bigger requests can add up fast. A deposit may be requested once an estimate goes past $200.

Farmville Herald’s Busted Arrest Reports

The Farmville Herald serves as the paper of record for local crime. Its archived 2019 arrest report shows what its busted coverage looked like. It was a dated text list. Names, dates, and charges appeared in print form, not photos. That format works well for historical research. It is not a live booking feed. Nor is it a recurring mugshot gallery. The Herald's home page now runs general news, so each newer item stands on its own.

Spot a name in an older Herald piece? Treat it as a lead, not a conclusion. Check whether Piedmont Regional Jail still lists the person in custody. Then follow the court record to see what happened next. The county crime-news guide lays out the same official-first route for reading local crime coverage without mistaking a story for the final word.

Farmville Dispatch Is Not a Roster

One recent change trips people up. Farmville and Prince Edward County consolidated their emergency communications on October 1, 2025, and the official announcement describes a dispatch center serving the town, the county, Longwood University, and Hampden-Sydney College. That is a call-handling arrangement. It is not a shared arrest database.

The difference matters. A dispatch log marks an event or a response, while a booking record exists only after an agency actually makes an arrest and a custodian keeps the paperwork. Farmville Police also runs an anonymous tip line at 434-392-DRUG (3784), but that channel takes reports rather than answering custody questions. The Sheriff Activity Report covers call categories and street names. None of these sources yields a Farmville roster or tells you whether a person is currently held.

Farmville ICE Custody Is Separate

A separate federal channel operates in Farmville, too. ICE lists the Farmville Detention Center at 508 Waterworks Road, and its detainee locator is the official search for civil immigration custody. Do not confuse it with Piedmont Regional Jail. It is not a Prince Edward booking feed or a local court docket.

Match the record to the question. PRJ answers current regional-jail custody; OCIS and the clerk track state court progression; VADOC covers state custody or supervision; the BOP handles federal criminal status; ICE covers civil detention. Keeping those paths straight keeps each record within its limits and stops a shared place name from becoming a bogus custody claim.
